Herefordshire itself is a delight with a number of
small towns and villages interspersed by lovely but
varied countryside. The Cathedral City of Hereford
has the Mappa Mundi and Chained Library. Bulmers Cider
Museum is also worth a visit. Ross-on-Wye Ledbury,
and Leominster are interesting towns with plenty of
history to share. The Black and White Villages north
of Hereford are also a must! |
|
A drive through the Golden Valley will bring you
to Hay-on-Wye where the world’s largest collection
of second hand books are—gateway to the Kilvert
Country!
|
A short drive to the east takes you to the inspiring
Malvern Hills; a similar distance to the south finds
the steep rising cliffs of Symonds Yat by the River
Wye. |
There is usually a Farmer’s Market every
week in one of the towns, or farm shops where you
can buy the local produce to take home.
